A 44-year-old man was shot dead in Area-J, Steadville, on Sunday (November 15) after unknown suspects ransacked his house and demanded money from the victim.
According to Ladysmith police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi, the 44-year-old was robbed and fatally wounded by the robbers. He sustained a gunshot wound.
“The wife of the deceased, who was present during the ordeal, said that unknown gunmen stormed into their home and demanded money from her husband, who was later shot and killed. After the incident, the suspects fled the crime scene.”

Captain Nyathi concluded that police are investigating a murder case.
