NEWCASTLE KZN: Bheki Cele in Osizweni to talk about crime

General Bheki Cele is currently at the Osizweni Community Hall, meeting with concerned residents and community members.

South African Minister of the Police, General Bheki Cele is currently at the Osizweni Community Hall to address the issue of crime in the area.

He is accompanied by SAPS National Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khehla Sithole, who has so far mentioned that SAPS has different strategies to try and fight crime.

“We have the following in place – Community Policing Strategy, Youth Crime Prevention (Dropout Prevention Strategy) and School Safety plans.”

The event, labelled as an imbizo, is structured to allow community members and residents to voice their issues and concerns to Gen Cele, and he has promised to respond to these.
