Contractors rushed to remove the load from the truck, as well as the broken air-conditioner unit

Traffic was brought to a standstill at 5am this morning (November 4) after a truck lost its load at the Harrismith and Francis Road intersection.

A truck that was trying to make way for an ambulance slammed on brakes, causing the load inside to shift forward. The front air-conditioner unit was broken off due to the impact of the moving load. As a safety precaution, the driver brought the truck to a halt and waited for experts to arrive.
