Staff from the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) organised a makeshift clinic and welcomed donors from 10am until 2pm.

Hans Chotoo donated his 32nd pint of blood.

While under the hot tin roof in the parking area, some donors became ill and dizzy, but they were quickly treated by SANBS staff members with water, ice packs and care.

The target for the day was 29 pints of blood. 23 donors attended and 22 pints of blood were collected. The Estcourt Sai Centre thanks all those who supported the blood donor clinic.
