NEWCASTLE: Bail bid abandoned by second Rafferty murder suspect (VIDEO)

Doctor Ngwenya is expected back in the Newcastle Magistrate's B Court on Thursday.

A formal bail application took a dramatic turn (October 26), at the Newcastle Magistrate’s B Court earlier today.

The second suspect in the murders of Glen and Vida Rafferty, Doctor Fikani Ngwenya (20) has been remanded into police custody yet again, after being advised to abandon his bail bid.

His Legal Aid attorney, Ayanda Ntanzi explained the first suspect in the murders, Siyabonga Goodman Macu has reportedly turned state witness and is expected to testify against Ngwenya.

The next chapter of the case will be heard on Thursday, October 29.
