Ladysmith KZN: Storm hits town hard, with risk of flash-flooding as taps stay dry

Water everywhere, but not coming out of people's taps...

Heavy rain, accompanied by a massive electrical storm, has hit Ladysmith hard (October 26).

While parts of town were without power shortly after the start of the storm, the heavy downpour has also created minor flash-flooding in some low-lying areas. Most areas have had their power restored and the remaining areas still without power should be back on within the hour.

The irony that this is accompanied by many areas being without water is not lost on local residents.

Take care when driving.
