Ladysmith KZN: Life sentence for teacher’s killer

Hlengiwe Ndaba was found inside a bakkie that had been set alight

Justice was served in the Estcourt Regional Court on Thursday (October 22) when Nkosingiphile Morris Ngubane was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a Grade 4 teacher at Phasiwe Primary School.

Ngubane (39) pleaded guilty to the murder of Hlengiwe Ndaba (35), who was found inside a bakkie that had been set alight. The vehicle was also riddled with bullets. She was killed in July this year.

The case against the other two accused, namely Nokubonga Fortunate Dubazane (35) and Mqapheli Miya (46), was adjourned for October 29, when they will be appearing in the Colenso Magistrate’s Court.
