Ladysmith KZN: Scary but harmless snake found outside home

The snake was safely released back into its natural habitat

A snake was spotted in the front yard of a house in Daffodil Crescent recently.

The snake was steadily slithering along burglar bars at one of the windows.

The species was quickly identified by the homeowner as a Spotted Bush Snake, which are not deadly but pack a punch with their bite nonetheless.

The homeowner put on some gloves to avoid being bitten, and the snake was removed from a pot plant in the yard.

The ‘unwelcome visitor’ was then safely released back into its natural habitat, away from houses and people.
