Ladysmith KZN: Teacher in court for brutal murder of a colleague

A third suspect was arrested in Johannesburg on September 26

Two suspects who were arrested early September in connection with the murder of a teacher appeared in the Colenso Magistrate’s Court on Thursday (October 15).

The murder victim, Hlengiwe Ndaba (35), was found inside a bakkie that had been set alight. The vehicle was also riddled with bullets. She was killed in July this year.

A 37-year-old woman who taught at the same school as Hlengiwe Ndaba was arrested on September 1, along with a 46-year-old man, who was arrested a day later.

A third suspect believed to be linked to the murder was arrested in Johannesburg on September 26.

The case has been postponed until October 29 and all three suspects will remain in police custody until then.
