NEWCASTLE: Function machines – Mathematics Lesson 9

This week’s lesson includes a review and and solutions from Lesson 8.

Henry Junak believes the human body is the perfect, God-given machine.

“In his own relentless quest for perfection, man is trying to build the ‘perfect machine’ – one that will, someday, be in competition with man himself,” explains Junak.

In life, he adds, we encounter many machines designed to perform some function which makes life easier for us.

In this week’s lesson, Junak delves into how machines work and how this relates to a ‘Function Machine’ or ‘Number Machine’ in mathematics.
