ESTCOURT: Crashed diesel truck looted on the R103
Residents from the neighbouring area descended on the truck and started to remove the diesel
A truck carrying diesel was involved in an accident near Mooi River during the early hours of this morning (September 29).
The incident was reported along the R103 close to the landfill site.

It is alleged that the driver lost control of the truck due to the wet weather and veered off the road, crashing into the side of the road.
Residents from the neighbouring area descended on the truck and started to remove the diesel.
“There were hundreds of people stealing diesel, the police could not even stop them,” said a witness on scene.
Police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala confirmed the incident and said that no case was opened.
