A 17-year-old male was arrested at his home in Loskop and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi reported that Amangwe police swooped on the home on September 9 at about 2am.
The young man was roused from his sleep and arrested.

“He was charged and released to be with his parents. He will appear in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court soon, where he faces two charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition,” said Captain Nyathi.
