Muhle reports the news kids need to know

Smashing Kids News has a few programmes and a main host, and discusses topics that many children would not expect

Muhle Khambule is no ordinary teenager.

At 13 years old, the Ichthus Christian School learner is a newshound who committed to getting other youngsters interested in news too. During lockdown, while many children were bored at home, Muhle was starting up a project called ‘Smashing Kids News’.

The project, which has been ongoing for a few months now, is described as ‘news for kids, by kids’.

“It is news for kids. We provide them with interesting news and fun challenges to help them grow their talents.”

Smashing Kids News has a few programmes and a main host, and discusses topics that many children would not expect.

Muhle writes and researches the stories, explaining that he enjoys research and hearing different sides of a story. Smashing Kids News is shared every Friday, with any updates being shared during the week. Muhle ensures that many have access to it by sharing it over Facebook, TikTok, Twitter and Instagram.

The response has been amazing thus far and readers are always eager for the next episode.
