Ladysmith KZN – A man’s decomposed body was found floating in Nkunzi Dam near a coal mine in the Elandslaagte area on Friday (September 11). The deceased is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old
The badly decomposed body was found by a community member, who then alerted the police.
According to police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi, Ladysmith K9 Search & Rescue Unit officers were called out to the scene.

The deceased was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and black shoes, and has not yet been formally identified.
Anyone who believes they know who the man is, is asked to come forward and contact their nearest police station.
The body is currently being kept in the mortuary at Ladysmith SAPS.
