EFF shuts down Clicks in Ladysmith

"Clicks showed an advert portraying the hair of a black woman as damaged and the hair of a white woman as normal; we took offence"

Ladysmith KZN – Today (September 7), members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) shut down operations at the Clicks store in the Oval Shopping Centre.

This follows an advert that described the hair of black women as damaged, and the hair of a white woman as normal.

“On September 4, Clicks showed an advert portraying the hair of a black woman as being damaged and the hair of a white woman as normal; we took that as an insult. As of today (September 7) up until September 11 (Friday), Clicks will not operate as per normal up until we get an official apology with regards to this advert,” said Mbongeni Shange (EFF communications liaison under the uThukela Region).
