NEWCASTLE ADVERTISER: Medical staff honoured at ‘Wall of Heroes’ unveiling

Mediclinic Newcastle has unveiled its 'Wall of Heroes' in tribute to its front line staff.

Mediclinic Newcastle unveiled its ‘Wall of Heroes’ last week, in what is a tangible and visible tribute to those who have sacrificed and continue to fight against the global coronavirus pandemic.

According to Doctor Relationship Manager at Mediclinic Newcastle, Mathys Bornman: “This is a tribute to staff, doctors and healthcare professionals who have worked here during the pandemic. We wanted to do something permanent and visible, which is why this board has been put up in the reception area.”

The ‘Wall of Heroes’, said Dr Josh Matambo (Chairman of Mediclinic Newcastle’s Board of Directors) would serve as an important reminder to those who have put their lives at risk during this dark time.

“For the next 100 years future generations will look at this wall and remember the hard work put in by medical teams,” he said.

Mayor, Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba also formed part of the unveiling committee.
