Couple killed in Normandien farm attack

Couple murdered on their farm a day after nation wide protests against farm attacks

A Normandien couple, Glen and Vida Rafferty, have been killed on their farm. Normandien Farm Security found their bodies on their farm at about 5.30am this morning by a farm watch patrol.

Glenn is the brother of well known vet, Dr Barry Rafferty.

According to witnesses, both had been shot and their dog, which also been shot, was lying near them. 

It is understood that the couple visited friends in Newcastle last night and were attacked upon their arrival back home. The house was also ransacked and a vehicle stolen from their property. It was later said that the vehicle was found near Ladysmith.
