A knife-wielding perpetrator is still on the run after holding hostage a home owner earlier.
The man, described as skinny, and wearing dark clothes, fled a house on Illovo Drive with a laptop and tablet in hand.
The family thanked all those who speedily responded to calls for help after the man entered their household.
The police also responded to the scene.
