Fish found dead in dam at Ladysmith Country Club

Golfers recently spotted fish floating on the surface of the dam

Ladysmith Country Club has always had a thriving fish population, with a great many fish spotted in the clear waters of the dams dotted around the golf course.

However, some golfers recently spotted fish floating on the surface of the dam near the green at the first hole.

On closer inspection, it was found that all the fish in the dam were dead and floating on top of the water. It was a sad sight indeed for the local golfers to see.

It is believed that the fish died due to a water hyacinth problem in one part of the dam, which possibly killed the oxygen level in the water. This, in turn, killed the fish.

Due to the lack of oxygen in the water, the quality of the water was poor, with very poor visibility.
