This week, former educator Henry Junak’s mathematics lesson will focus on intuitively learning multiplication and division.
Junak has also cautioned parents not to be too demanding of their children.
“The child must develop a love for mathematics from an early age – he/she must not hate what they are doing,” emphasised Junak.
He added the lessons should not be perceived by learners as an extension of school, or by parents as an extension of the teacher.
“With patience, the child will understand that what you are doing is for his or her own good,” he concluded.
