Ladysmith KZN: Covid-19 surge hits old age home hard

2 deaths reported at old age home so far, as virus spreads

Two deaths have been confirmed as Covid-19 related at Juana Maria Old Age Home in Ladysmith.

Three more confirmed cases of the deadly coronavirus have been confirmed at the home, with a possible fourth case being a member of staff.

With the elderly being incredibly vulnerable to the disease, old age home staff are doing everything in their power to prevent the spread of the virus. Several patients at the home have high temperatures and are being closely monitored. The home has kept the Department of Heath constantly informed of developments.
