A motorist made a miraculous escape when he emerged unscathed when his car became airborne after hitting a speed bump on Karelandman Street and smashed through a fence – narrowly missing an electrical sub station.
The only injury the young man picked up was when his mother hit him after arriving on the scene to find her NGL registered VW smashed. SAPS had to restrain her.
Witnesses said the car, travelling into Dundee down Karelandman Street, had hit the speed bump, opposite TWK, at ‘a high speed’. The car virtually flew through the air before landing in a grassy area opposite Farmers’ Agri Care.
SAPS were on the scene.
