Forderville Primary School closes after educator tests positive for Covid-19

School will reopen on July 20

Learning and teaching at Forderville Primary School has been temporarily suspended after an educator tested positive for Covid-19.

Parents and guardians were informed via a letter from the acting principal that the school would be closed from July 15 to July 17.

This is to allow for disinfecting and sanitizing, which is carried out by the Health Department.

The school will reopen on July 20.

Yesterday (July 14) the South African Democratic Teachers Union made a call for the Department of Basic Education to close schools until the Covid-19 peak has subsided.
