A building in Kandahar Avenue was completely destroyed after a massive fire this afternoon (July 15).
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
Thick black smoke billowed into the air and could be seen from all around town.

Public Safety officers and firefighters, with the help of members of the community, battled the blaze and managed to control it.
Hundreds of onlookers gathered in the street to see what was going on.
