Extension of Ladysmith Town Hall closure due to Covid-19 pandemic

The municipality urges all employees who render services at the Town Hall building not to be on duty

The Ladysmith Town Hall has been closed this week after a municipal councillor tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19). The municipality initially took a decision to temporarily close the Town Hall building from Monday (July 13) until the building is decontaminated, and all health and safety protocols followed.

The closure of the Town Hall has now been extended with effect from today (July 15) until Sunday (July 19).

The municipality urges all employees who render services at the Town Hall building not to be on duty during this period of time, but may continue to work from home until it is safe to return.

The public is also required to stay away from the building.
