A police officer has tested positive

Colenso residents are hereby notified that their police station has been temporarily closed for decontamination.

A Colenso police officer tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) yesterday (Wednesday, July 8).

SAPS spokesperson Captain Nyathi has confirmed the closure.

“Colenso police station has been temporarily closed from July 9. The station will be opened as soon as the decontamination process has been completed,” said Captain Nyathi.

The Community Service Centre (CSC) will operate from the cell block just behind the station buildings for the convenience of the community.
