Ladysmith municipality closes after employee tests positive for Covid-19

The Lister Clarence Building has been temporarily closed until all health and safety protocols have been conducted

Alfred Duma Local Municipality has temporarily shut down its buildings for decontamination after an employee tested positive for Covid-19.

Alfred Duma Communications Manager Siyabonga Maphalala has released a statement confirming this: “The municipality would like to confirm that one of the employees has tested positive for Covid-19.

“Thus a decision has been made to temporarily close the Lister Clarence Building with effect from July 6, until all health and safety protocols have been conducted, including the decontamination of the building.

“We urge all employees who render services at the Lister Clarence Building not to be on duty as from July 6 until July 9. They may continue working from home until it is safe for them to return to work.”
