A truck driver was seriously injured in a crash on Tuesday afternoon (June 23) along the R74.
Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision between Winterton and the N3.
It appears that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which resulted in the truck overturning.

Okhahlamba Fire & Emergency Services used hydraulic tools to free the man (66) from the wreckage, and medics from KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service found that he had sustained serious injuries.
Due to the nature of the man’s injuries, a Netcare 911 air ambulance was activated.
Once stabilised, the patient was flown to a specialist facility for further treatment.
