Six people were in critical condition this morning (June 24) after taking a cattle de-worming medication, which they believed could cure the coronavirus.
KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service was summoned to a doctor’s rooms where a family of five and an employee had symptoms of poisoning.
“According to reports from family members, they were informed by a trusted source, the cattle de-worming medication would help cure Covid-19,” said KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service spokesperson Craig Botha.
The family was treated on scene by the doctor and paramedics and transported to hospital for further treatment.
