Water levels remain high as fishermen head out to nearby dams

Here are the latest dam level percentages released on June 15...

Recreational fishing is now allowed under level 3 of the national lockdown, with many fishermen going out to nearby dams to relax and hopefully catch some ‘big ones’.

But just how much water is in these dams at the moment? Here are the latest levels released on June 15.

Spioenkop Dam, which some local anglers describe as “full”, is on 97.4%.

Driel Barrage is on 98.7% and Woodstock Dam 94.6%.

Wagendrift Dam is 0.2% away from being full to the brim and currently stands on 99.8%.

The lowest dam in the KZN region is Albert Falls on 42.5%.
