Become a blood donor and save a life

The SANBS will be in Vryheid on the following dates:  June 20 - PnP from 9am until 1pm

There are millions of South Africans who need blood transfusions each year to enable them to live a healthy life. But these recipients of blood transfusions are dependent on voluntary blood donations. Even though the country is amidst the coronavirus pandemic, this does not deter donors from doing their bit.
The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) celebrates World Donor Day on their observation of the contributions of all the selfless blood donors who contribute towards the health and well-being of others. This is an opportunity to call on more people to take up the cause to donate blood regularly. “June 14 is a day that is particularly close to our hearts. We work tirelessly each year to ensure that safe and affordable blood products are available to our fellow countrymen and we cannot negate the monumental role played by all our committed donors. We thank donors for their selfless acts, and so do the recipients of their blood,” said SANBS Chief Marketing Officer Silungile Mlambo. It is a great effort on the part of the SANBS to motivate people to regularly donate blood. You can visit sanbs.org.za or call 0800-11-90-31 to find out where you can donate blood. You can also connect with the SANBS on Twitter (@theSANBS), Facebook (@SANBS) and Instagram (@thesanbs). The SANBS is pleading with the community to become donors and donate regularly.
The SANBS will be in Vryheid on the following dates:
June 20 – PnP from 9am until 1pm;
June 27 – PnP from 9am until 1pm.
