A total of 13 taverns in Bhekuzulu Location, both Old and New, were found to be compliant with level 3 lockdown regulations during unannounced visits by the Joint Operations Committee (JOC) on Covid-19. The JOC checked to see if any patrons were drinking inside the taverns; that social distancing was being maintained by customers; and that a health risk plan was in place, as well as hand sanitizers and the wearing of masks. All the taverns visited were found to be ready and in compliance with lockdown regulations as set out in Alert Level 3.
