Last Thursday, the Gift of the Givers Estcourt team visited an area closest to their office – Rensburgdrift, which is also known as Esigodlweni.

The food parcels that were distributed in Rensburgdrift.

“Poverty is rife in most parts of this area and we distributed 100 food parcels, which was done at two drop-off points. People were waiting for us from long before and followed the social distancing requirements very well.

The food parcels contain essentials to sustain a family of four for a month.
More and more locals receive food parcels from the Gift of the Givers.

“The recipients were very grateful, as this part of Esigodlweni always gets left out. We were joined by Mr Shangase, who assisted with the distribution,” commented Jaaved Khan from the Gift of the Givers Estcourt branch.
