How full are the dams near Ladysmith during lockdown?

Spioenkop Dam is just 1% away from being full

With level 3 lockdown firmly in place, many of you might be wondering what’s happening regarding the water levels in nearby dams.

Well, dam levels are still looking good in the Ladysmith area.

Spioenkop Dam, which supplies some parts of town with water, is 99% full.

Driel Barrage is full to the brim on 100% and Woodstock Dam not so far behind on 95.8%.

Wagendrift Dam is overflowing on 100.2%, with Sterkfontein Dam holding its own on 93.7%.

The lowest dam in the KZN region is Pongolapoort on 43.4%.
