“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our stakeholder the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) for always availing themselves of their services to assist young people in our municipality,” said Mrs Mbele.

She also congratulated Smangele Sithole from Loskop for being awarded a business start-up grant of R10,000 from the NYDA.

“She was one of the young people who applied for assistance through our local youth office. She was then requested to attend a business workshop, which was held in May 2019. She also completed a five-day course on Entrepreneur Development Programmes through the NYDA, which is one of the qualifying criteria. Ms Sithole will be starting poultry farming in Loskop and she was awarded with 150 chicks, 15 x 25kg chicken feed sacks, lighting, chicken water and food bowls, 10 x 25kg sawdust and other items.
