All set for the ‘new normal’ at VHS

The educators are already back and have been briefed regarding all the safety precautions to ensure the safety of the learners

he pandemic has thrown this year into disarray; more so the academic year.
Vryheid High School has been hard at work these past two weeks, ensuring that when the learners return, they will be in a safe learning space.
The educators are already back and have been briefed regarding all the safety precautions to ensure the safety of the learners. The teachers can’t wait to welcome back their charges and get on with teaching, even if it means doing so in ‘uncanny’ conditions. The school, as well as the two hostels, have been ‘deep-cleaned’ and are said to be Covid-19 ready. When faced with tough times, one always has the prospect of a better future and with that in mind, everyone is already focusing their attention towards next year. Grade 8 admissions for 2021 will open on June 1 and close August 7. Parents are allowed to collect the admission forms from the office. The school wellness programme would like to leave you with the following thought: “Staying positive doesn’t mean you have to be happy all the time. It means that even on hard days, you know there are better ones coming.”
