[WATCH] Taxi association gives back to commuters
70 Food parcels were handed out during the initiative.
The Amajuba Regional Taxi Council is committed to bettering the lives of those who use public transport.
Regional members of SANTACO gathered at the Newcastle Bus and Taxi Rank on June 3 to hand out food parcels to identified recipients in desperate need.
Dumisani Ntuli, Chairman of the Amajuba Regional Taxi Council said even though its members were not able to work fully during the nationwide lockdown, they were still devoted to giving back.

“No one was prepared for Covid-19,” he said.
The programme was overseen by Newcastle Municipality Speaker, Cllr Samekelisiwe Yende and Amajuba District Speaker, Phumzile Mgcina.
