Islamic Medical Association donates masks and face shields to municipalities

150 face shields were handed over to uThukela District Municipality for front-line workers

The Islamic Medical Association (IMA) has been at it yet again, going out to help the Ladysmith community with masks and face shields to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Local ENT surgeon Dr MA Sardiwalla represented the IMA in Ladysmith and handed over 150 ‘3D printed’ face shields to uThukela District Municipality for front-line workers fighting the pandemic.

The handover was attended by District Mayor Siphiwe Mazibuko and Dr Zulu. The face shields were sponsored by the Regent Business School and the IMA was delegated to facilitate the distribution.

400 face masks were also presented to Alfred Duma Local Municipality for the various sectors in the municipality.

Dr FA Khan and Dr Bahadoor handed over the masks to Municipal Manager S Ngiba, Riaz Jhetam and S Kunene.
