A call has been made for those paying water accounts to make use of the email facility to make sure they get their statements timeously and efficiently.
In a statement, Umzinyathi District Municipality said: “The municipality appreciates all our citizens who are committed to paying for their municipal services during this lockdown period, which is why we are encouraging our customers to make use of the email facility to make sure they get their statements timeously and efficiently.
“You are requested to send your email address and use your water account number or physical address of the property as a reference to customercare@umzinyathi.gov.za
“This will assist you to get your water account on time for payment purposes.”
