In a time like now, when the whole world is fighting a difficult war against an enemy that has encroached upon our territory, things become much easier when we all are moving together in a front-line.

But if we were to engage the struggle against an enemy and yet pulling in different directions, and not taking instructions from the hierarchy, then we are bound to fight a losing battle. This analysis was made when the uThukela District Command Council (DCC) – led by Dr T Zulu and GM: Municipal Health & Water Services Authority Mr B Khoza – were in Ward 7 in Okhombe on Friday.

In this area, there were many people on the streets. Dr Zulu said they may not see the reason for staying at home now, but there will come a time when they will live to regret it.

“What pains me most is that these people are so rude and do not take into account the aftermath of their actions. The thing is, it is their parents who will carry the burden once they are infected with the virus,” Dr Zulu added.
