A gruesome scene greeted Amangwe (Loskop) police officers on April 28. Police were called to the Bhekuzulu area at about 5pm after they received a report of a murder.
On arrival at the home, police discovered the lifeless and bloody body of a five-year-old.

“The child was lying on the ground, with the stomach cut open and intestines hanging out,” commented police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi.
Police immediately arrested the suspect who did not make any attempt to flee.
He was arrested and charged with murder and appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court.
