Salvation Army joins the war on Covid-19

The Salvation Army also joined the visits to eMondlo and Louwburg taxi ranks, where more people were educated about the virus.

The Salvation Army Wash Project NKZN, together with the Joint Operations Committee (JOC) on Covid-19, actively conducted screenings and educated citizens about the coronavirus recently.
Last week, about 122 people were screened and two with symptoms of the virus were referred to Vryheid District Hospital for testing. They are awaiting their results.

The Salvation Army also joined the visits to eMondlo and Louwburg taxi ranks, where more people were educated about the virus. In addition, there was loud-hailing on hygiene awareness, the importance of washing hands / sanitizing, the importance of wearing masks and gloves, social distancing, and encouraging people to stay at home.
Lockdown regulations were explained and pamphlets distributed.
No suspected cases were encountered during the screening of commuters at both taxi ranks.
