Covid-19: No visitors allowed at Ladysmith Provincial Hospital

Visitors are only allowed for critically ill patients, and only immediate family

Ladysmith Provincial Hospital has restricted visiting hours due to Covid-19.

“In light of the severity of the Covid-19 pandemic, we needed to take extraordinary measures to protect all our healthcare teams and our patients who cannot be discharged,” said hospital CEO Mr BL Msibi.

In an exclusive interview with the Ladysmith Gazette, Mr Msibi revealed that due to the coronavirus (Covid-19), Ladysmith Provincial Hospital has suspended visiting hours.

Before a person is allowed at the hospital, security personnel make sure that the person gets sanitized and his or her temperature is checked. Due to the pandemic, no visitors are allowed at the hospital. “We only allow visitors for critically ill patients, and it is only immediate family who are allowed.”
