Soup kitchen opens in Osizweni

Pascal Foundation feeds the hungry.

A “lockdown” soup kitchen was started in Osizweni recently to feed needy, hungry residents who have been affected by the Covid-19 scourge made more difficult by the nationwide lockdown.

The kitchen serves bread and soup from the Handicraft Center and is the initiative of the Pascal Cares Foundation. Its founder, Pascal Motaung, wanted to reach out to as many families as soon as possible.

“The purpose of this initiative is to alleviation hunger and to start an educational programme to teach the residents about the virus while they are gathered in one place,” said Motaung.

“We are grateful to all corporates and individuals, for their donations to support this initiative,” said Motaung.
