A stable water supply is a luxury in some communities. Residents often have to rely on water trucks, water sources like rivers and streams, or a communal tap.

The nationwide lockdown has posed an additional disadvantage to some communities in Loskop and Bhekuzulu.

For this reason, the Al-Imdaad Foundation joined forces with Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality as part of its Covid-19 water relief response to assist those who are struggling with water shortages. Several JoJo tanks were distributed to communities recently.
