Lucky escape after two car collision on Tatham Street Bridge

The two vehicles appeared to have 'just clipped each other'

Occupants of two vehicles involved in a collision on the Tatham Street Bridge on Sunday evening were fortunate to escape serious injury.

The two cars, travelling in opposite directions,  appeared to have  ‘clipped each other’ with one car landing on its side and the other vehicle crashing into the opposite railing.

Traffic officials, SAPS and a towing company were soon on the scene and the road closed while the scene was cleared.

A tow truck was also on the scene.

Traffic and SAPS officers monitor the scene.
