Committing to help the vulnerable during lockdown

Green Grocer will be providing food hampers to any pensioner who has no other income aside from their pension, those receiving a disability grant, or any informal trader who is not allowed to trade during lockdown

Green Grocer, in conjunction with the Al-Imdaad Foundation, will provide much-needed relief to vulnerable groups during the Covid-19 national lockdown. The elderly, disabled and informal traders will be affected the most during this lockdown.

In an effort to bring some relief during these trying times, Green Grocer will be providing food hampers to any pensioner who has no other income aside from their pension, those receiving a disability grant, or any informal trader who is not allowed to trade during lockdown.

To apply, please forward the following documents via WhatsApp to 081-815-8098:

1. South African Identity Card / Document.
2. Proof of address.
3. South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) card (proof you receive an old age or disability grant); or approval from the municipality to trade as a street vendor.

Please note that these hampers are not available to beneficiaries of the Al-Imdaad Foundation’s Social Welfare programme and to residents outside of the Estcourt and Ladysmith areas.

Forward proof of payment to: ishaq@alimdaad.com for an official receipt.
