Reports of a truck collision on the N3 had emergency services on high alert this morning (April 6).
At about 7.50am two trucks were involved in a crash on the southbound lane close to Midway.

According to the emergency centre, one of the truck drivers crashed into the rear of another truck.
The impact of the collision caused the truck to veer off the roadway and onto the northbound lane before it plummeted down an embankment.
The truck driver was seriously injured and was taken to hospital. There were no injuries from the second truck, which was also not extensively damaged.
