Three people tragically lost their lives earlier this evening (March 21) on the R616 Bergville road near the Geluksburg turn-off.
Emergency personnel from Ladysmith and Bergville responded to the scene.
Three motor vehicles were involved in the collision.
The exact cause of the crash is unknown at this stage.

One person sustained serious injuries and another moderate injuries.
One of the vehicles involved caught fire and the blaze had to be extinguished by emergency personnel.
The roadway is currently closed, as police are busy with their investigation.
