The protest action is continuing today (February 28) in Ladysmith.
Yesterday, police from out of town were here, removing protesters and clearing affected areas. Arrests were made and taxis were impounded as well.
This morning, some roads are still closed. The roads are blocked with branches, rocks, boulders and broken pipes, making it impossible for vehicles to get through.

People are advised to be cautious.
However, it seems that businesses are opening as usual and people are frequenting the CBD area.
